I can think of a couple of good reasons off the top of my head for saying them.

Daglica certainly got silenced quickly, didn't it? The treatment of the former POWs from the Daglica operation were also silenced quickly. Why is that?

My main contention is not incompetence or deliberate expenditure of life on the part of the pasas. My contention is simply that the pasas don't give a shit.

Remember Onur Dirik?Mizgînhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01850990661771197094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19312979.post-72994503178892478442008-11-03T14:27:00.000-08:002008-11-03T14:27:00.000-08:00of neglect prior to the PKK ambush in Dağlıca last...of neglect prior to the PKK ambush in Dağlıca last year. What do you think of all this?

One of the problems in Turkey is that it is very difficult to ask questions and criticize. When there is a problem in the military, it becomes hard to distinguish if it was a mistake or not. I don't ever remember the military accepting a mistake even though they make mistakes. There is a lot of intelligence coming in about planned PKK attacks, but a lot of them do not happen. When one of those reports comes in, they do not act on it. Then when it takes place, of course, everybody jumps in and complains. I do not believe conspiracies theories that suggest the military deliberately allows its members to be killed.
- Gareth Jenkins

PKK Confirms The General Staff

The Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) corroborates the report by the General Staff regarding the Aktütün assault that there was no neglect, but denies that they were not successful.

Bia news center - İstanbul

31-10-2008

General Staff’s announcement that there was no military neglect in the Aktütün assault received support from the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK), organizers of the assault.

Murat Karayılan, one of the PKK leaders (Kurdish Democratic Society Confederation -KCK), told the Fırat News Agency that he did not think the commander of the Aktütün military post had made a terrible mistake, that he believed he had acted in accordance with military tactical principles.
http://www.bianet.org/english/kategori/english/110598/pkk-confirms-the-general-staffAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19312979.post-41710093742873565622008-10-30T04:31:00.000-07:002008-10-30T04:31:00.000-07:00"AÖ: In the past they were intertwined.
