AHA!

"Distrust and caution are the parents of security."
~ Benjamin Franklin

Now I know why Robert Novak suddenly says that some consider PKK as freedom fighters rather than "terrorists"--Rahman Haj-Ahmadi is in Washington.

Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.

I'm not sure what Novak's motivation was for his statement, but once in a while even a blithering idiot like him can say something intelligent. Remember, Bin Laden and his ilk were 'freedom fighters' as long as they were killing Russians. As soon as they started targetting Americans, they instantly became 'terrorists'.

Nothing in the ideology or methods of Bin Laden or his allies changed during that time. The only thing that changed was the nationality of his/their victims.

I believe the word 'terrorist' has become so tainted, the only practical definition of it these days is, 'any person or group who uses violence against Americans or American allies'. Actually, in El Salvador even peaceful protestors against privatization are considered 'terrorist'. So then the definition becomes 'any person or group who opposes, peacefully or violently, the policies of the U.S.or its allies'

Keep up the great work Mizgin.

These are not the first journalists and certainly will not be the last. Kurds have had enough of the thousands of years of mistreatment in Iran.
