I'm sorry to be so ignorant of this very important issue. I am a regular reader of your post and use to read Dozame.org (no longer there?).

I know that 27 November is an important date for the PKK. However, I'm a bit perplexed with this posting "Two Years". I'm sure those that are fighting the battle understand the significance. If it isn't too much trouble, I would appreciate if you could expound on this item?

With thanks,

Janice:

I believe this is her 2nd anniversary as a blogger.

Mizgin:

What does "Edi Bese" mean? It's on all the banners these days. I try to read the articles at Gundem and bianet.org, but it's tough with a poor dictionary. I get the headlines and a few things in the articles, but then I bog down. I wish there were more translations of this stuff. (hint, hint.)

Stay well.

Janice, Gordon Taylor is correct. November 25 is not quite as illustrious a date as November 27, but it is the second anniversary of Rasti.

For the time being, DozaMe is being redirected here because it is on a bit of a hiatus.

Gordon, "Êdî Bese" is not Turkish. It's Kurdish for "It's Enough," and it is an expression against the state's repressive policies toward the Kurdish people. This is highlighted in particular by the ongoing repression of DTP (something which has been continuous since the Amed Serhildan), but it's not limited to the state's repression of DTP.

Thank you! I knew it was Kurdish, but it's good to know what it means.
