A LITTLE TASTE OF REALITY

"We have never accepted the accusation that we are terrorists. As an organization, we have never resorted to military warfare for arbitrary reasons or personal pleasures. Yes, we are fighting with weapons, but this is due to the state terror inflicted upon our people. Our identity, political culture, and linguistic heritage have been brutally suppressed by state terrorism."
~ Abdullah Öcalan.

Photos from Amed (Diyarbakır), from various news services at YahooNews and Hürriyet:

And by the way Sayın Başbakan, the only trash on the streets of Amed is TSK and the police forces.

From Doğubeyazıt, again at Hürriyet:

For more photos of the serhildan in Amed, check Hevallo's place. Don't forget to read his memorial for Lice and browse the photos of that genocidal attack. It's truly excellent.

For photos of the serhildan in Batman and Şırnak, check here.

It looks like a lot of cars have gone up in flames all around Istanbul yesterday--38 cars in total:

And there have been arson attacks against the Turkish embassies in Finland and Austria.

All in all, it's just a little taste of what will happen if something happens to Öcalan. You have been warned.

Oh, yeah, what Ahmet Türk said:

The military coup in 1980 conducted "political, social and cultural genocide" on Kurds and paved the way for the establishment of the [ ] organization, PKK, the leader of the pro-Kurdish party said on Tuesday.

Turk's remarks came after tensions rose in the region over the DTP's claims that Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the [ ] organization PKK, had been mistreated in Imrali prison where he is serving a life sentence. The claims sparked huge protests in the mainly-Kurdish southeastern regions, leaving one person dead.

First time in years Kurds in North Kurdistan got over their fears and waved Kurdish Flags in Dogubeyazit where the Kurdish protestor Ahmet Ozkan martyred by the barbarian fascist Turkish police (bullet fired to his back and stoped in his heart). According to news reports 10 years ago his father also murdered while he got tortured under Turkish police custody.

This shows Turk brutality against the Kurdish people was in the past, now in the present and intend to continue in the future.

enough is enough, you have been warned.... bla bla bla. you'll stand up with this silly anger, and sit down with a very disproportionate and damaging slap and then again you'll be singing songs of sorrow and sadness and how mistreated you are...

who the hell is Ocalan? a prophet? what is he a symbol of? peace?

kurds think they can lie, and kill and burn just because they are not the stronger side. But it appears to me you are being spoiled a bit.

enough with your "hero" s and dramatic exaggerations already.

There are possibilities much worse than AKP and you would know this if you weren't bunch of puberty teens sitting in their comfortable western homes.

what an absolutely moronic statement. Tell me one terrorist organization that fights for "arbitrary reasons or personal pleasures"

Seriously. Is this the best Kurds can come up with???

"..Yes, we are fighting with weapons, but..."

you can put anything after this "but"

"but we were treated bad"
"but we are fighting for freedom"
"but we shoot towards the legs mostly"

and he comes up with a lousy one.

"...have been brutally suppressed..."

Kurdish identity was not supressed in saddam iraq or iran, then why did you uprise against Saddam like a backstabber in the worst times for Iraq and its people, siding with America????

If it was supressed in iraq or iran why don't you fight against them now???

Disgusting.

There are no buts from the Kurdish side anymore fascist turkish e.t.

Every single Turk will taste what Kurds faced for many years in Kurdistan and then may be then you will get on your knees and appoligise. People like you uncivilized and barbarians only understand the language of force.

Kurds are asking for a dialogue long enough now it is your turn...

ET, you are wrapped way too tight.

Turkish e.t. has reminded me of the constant, festering "pain" in my conscience of stabbing Saddam Hussein and the glorious nation of Iraq in the back!

Ahh, how can we not feel bad when we reminisce about the good old days with Saddam...anfal, halapca, mass killings...Had Saddam lived maybe we could have relived those times! Silly Kurds! They just do not appreciate the transcendent realms of Masochism as Turkish e.t. does!

How will I sleep tonight???

yea, I guess Kurds are just too busy on trying to be thugs, burning cars, -arson attacking- embassies, throwing Molotov cocktails to news reporters, than appreciate.

seriously.

PKK smuggles heroin for sake what's more than that?

is there any violent act that Kurds did not do in the name of proving to the world who they are?

This is irony all over!

Nistiman enough with the sarcasm really. Your like a clueless Diogenes throwing seemingly witty but just plain lazy comments from your swing chair. say something.

Haha, PKK smuggles heroin and the Turkish government doesn't? Is this guy a joke? Everyone and their mother knows the deep state is actively involved in the drug trade.

I found that a lot of Kurds are sarcastic. People of a melancholy nature generally are. And even sitting on a swing chair doesn't ease my generally melancholy mood. A journalist once asked a Kurd how Kurdish people celebrate their birthdays. The Kurd looked at him in astonishment and said "Celebrate?! Everyday I curse God that I was born!"

When I tell this joke in mixed company only the Kurds laugh!

To be honest, what is there to respond to? The allegation that Kurds should feel remorse for helping to topple the Ba'athist regime? Should I feel that the Kurds do not deserve their inalienable rights because some Kurdish youth have attacked an embassy or thrown a molotov cocktail? Or, that "the Kurds" engage in violence "to show the world who they are?" These are the immature rantings of a disgruntled racist and you and I both know that they can't be changed by anything I put forward, well thought out or not. I personally don't think racism can be eradicated in every person. Only suppressed.

You do not think Kurds are worthy of the same rights as Turks. Simple as that.

E.T. It seems you really are out of this darn planet. It WAS and Kurds revolted against him LONG before. They tried to capitalize on two distinct opportunities but they were sold out. At the end, your ancestors did the same... Guess who went to war with Germany at some point... yes peh peh peh... You must be paid by the bloody MGK. Piss off and take your noise somewhere else.

Nistiman. "...helping to topple the Ba'athist regime..."

I don't think backstabbing to topple a dictator who run Iraq much better than any democratic country is "helping topple"

I wonder how comfortable Iraqi Kurds are living today when the rest of the country is blown into pieces day by day.

Kurds of Iraq sided with America, instantly, and I think this tells a lot about their ethics.

So don't tell me you're all for freedom and liberty and rights because it's all political, and primitive at that.

And just because "kurdish youth" attacked, does not mean that I cannot attribute it to Kurds.
Turkish kids in puberty listen to crappy songs and fight with their parents. Kurdish kids grab a gun and run to the mountains to become heros of you by killing as many Turks as possible.

Yes racism cannot be eradicated because it starts with the most basic forms of togetherness. However; today in Turkey; there is no racism. And you're trying to hard to not see the difference between poverty and racism and you're really being cruel.

Once again, Kurds never had to sit on the backseat of a bus in Turkey.
I had Kurdish friends in my highschool 10 years ago. Sort of an elite school. We sang Ahmet Kaya together "... basim belada, tabancami unutmusum helada.." . You are the real racist here, not me.

I cry for deads of both sides. You rejoice on both. It's all monsters and martyrs for you.

the word you are looking for is not racism.

To anonymous:
Kurds were not sold out by America. They were used as simple pawns.

The lesson is you don't revolt against a country you are such an integrated part of. Don't think you'll ever learn it though.

and Germany-Turkey analogy is nonsense.

Fascist turkish e.t.

"I don't think backstabbing to topple a dictator who run Iraq much better than any democratic country is "helping topple""

We all know fascist Turks like you admired Saddam because he followed the footsteps of kemalist ideology. However rest of the world including the Kurds have different opinion about Saddam's dictatorship regime which is what we feel and always felt aboput Turkey.

"I wonder how comfortable Iraqi Kurds are living today when the rest of the country is blown into pieces day by day."

This is the typical Turkish fear factor which will happen to them. Quite rightly most Turks during the Saddam's topple worried like a chicken that it was their time too. Luckily in Iraq there was only one dictator who paid for all the criminalities but in Turkey today almost every single person who consider themselves Turk and in the high places acts even worst then Saddam.

"Kurds of Iraq sided with America, instantly, and I think this tells a lot about their ethics."

Ethics does not mean to side with your enemy something that you don't even believe. When the Americans moved in Iraq. Kurds were srounded on one side with Saddam's Iraq and in North with Kemalist fascist Turkey. A Kurd in North Kurdistan if given a choice would definately pick USA for a place to live instead of Turkey, Iran, Iraq or Syria.

"Kurdish kids grab a gun and run to the mountains to become heros of you by killing as many Turks as possible."

You are talking from your back. Even fascist Turkish state put the death tolls for the war in 20 years as 5000 Turkish loss and 35000 Kurdish loss. So, who is killing who? Kurds are there to defend their people from the fascist Turkish army? What the fuck are you doing in Kurdistan?

"Once again, Kurds never had to sit on the backseat of a bus in Turkey."

Because Kurds are not black (you can't tell the difference) if they were then surely I don't think Turks would let us even in the busses. However, when you go to the Turkish state schools then you will see real racism.

"We sang Ahmet Kaya together "... basim belada, tabancami unutmusum helada..""

Yes, as soon as he wanted to sing in Kurdish fascists like you turks branded him a treator and exiled him to France where he died of heart attack. Where he is barried if you are not a racist and why he is there?

"I cry for deads of both sides."

Is that why you are coming here and trying to sell us fascist Turkish states doctorines. Why are you keep repeating of your fascist states failed arguments? Why don't you come up with something new which make a little sense?

"the word you are looking for is not racism."

You are a fascist also, is that good enough?

"Kurds were not sold out by America. They were used as simple pawns."

I guess most intelligents Kurds would agree with that but what about your fascist Turkey? What do you have got the gain by turning Kurdistan in the blood bath? Don't you think this will backfire on you?

"The lesson is you don't revolt against a country you are such an integrated part of. Don't think you'll ever learn it though."

I don't think Kurds in Turkey integrated with Turks or Kurds in Iraq integrated with Arabs. How can you integrated if you can not even be you?

"and Germany-Turkey analogy is nonsense."

What about Basques, Katalon and Spanish in Spain?

The only reason why Turks like E.T dont accept Kurds for what we are, terrorist, thugs or whatever apart from (Mountain Turks)...is because we are THE threat to their identity! That is who Apo is to you mr E.T. Dont worry about who Apo is to Kurds...!
